About Abasila Creative Arts
Discover the artist behind the mixed media masterpieces
The Artist
Welcome to the world of Abasila Creative Arts, where mixed media artistry meets the vibrant spirit of African wildlife and marine life. As an artist, I am passionate about bringing the beauty of nature to life through innovative techniques and sustainable materials.
My work spans across various mediums - from papier mache sculptures to functional furniture pieces, each piece tells a story of the natural world. The octopus, coffee table, and dolphin pieces you see are just a glimpse into a diverse collection that celebrates both the underwater realm and the magnificent creatures of the African continent.
Artistic Philosophy
I believe in creating art that not only captivates the eye but also serves a purpose. Whether it's a functional coffee table made from reclaimed wood or a delicate papier mache octopus, each piece is crafted with intention and respect for the materials used.
Techniques & Materials
My work primarily utilizes papier mache, wires, glue, and gesso for sculptures, while functional pieces incorporate wood, metal, glass, and other mixed media elements. Each material is chosen for its unique properties and ability to bring the vision to life.
